Today, on the show, I was joined by Dr. Robert Melillo, author of the somewhat controversial Disconnected Kids: The Groundbreaking Brain Balance Program for Children with Autism, who talked at length about his drug-free approach to treating children within the Autism spectrum and the struggle for funding.
Dr. Melillo also shared his thoughts on three recent developments on Autism:
1.) the announcement that Asperger's syndrome will officially be placed under the umbrella of Autism in the next DSM III, due out in 2013.
2.) the debunking of Dr. Andrew Wakefield's claim that the measles vaccine was to blame for autism in many kids who were diagnosed.
3.) a study released about 10 days ago that women in their 20s are more likely to have a child with autism if the father is over 40.
I will post the entire interview tomorrow for those of you who missed it and, of course, welcome comments from those of you who heard the interview.

Lou, I already ordered the book on Amazon. This is when you're at your best, when you're interviewing. Great show.
